My area of specialization is with the perinatal (pre-conception, pregnancy, postpartum) population, particularly supporting people dealing with fertility challenges. Because of the feelings of isolation that penetrate so many aspects of your life, my goal as a therapist is to build an empathetic and trustworthy relationship with you. I spent years undergoing fertility treatments, and I'm also a NICU mom, so I “know the language” and can offer support with self-advocacy and validation to ensure you have the information and calm you seek. I offer a safe space of understanding.
Not everyone that finds me will be dealing with perinatal needs, of course! And if that is you, please know that I have worked with a diverse population over the years in terms of age, race, gender, ease of access to care, and clinical need. Anxiety, depression, and stress can impact anyone, at any time, and for any reason. Over the years, I have learned that connection to others is key. You will find this as a theme in my practice, especially as I encourage you to build relationships with yourself, with your coping strategies, with your environment, and with others.
You are the expert of your life! I can serve as a guide as you explore your identity and learn to improve the quality of your life. I try to meet you where you're at - if a change makes sense, we work on it together. Email me to set up a time to talk; there's never an obligation to schedule the next session. I offer both short- and long-term options.
