Postpartum Counseling

Your life has changed and now you are navigating a brand new existence.

A new baby…and now what?

The postpartum period is one of incredible change.  For a birthing person, this is a window of time where you are dealing with many changes in identity, including changing priorities, recognition of self, body changes, lack of sleep, new responsibilities, and many more.  Because of this, postpartum is a great time to get some additional support through counseling.  It can be a place to discuss these changes and see if there are ways of adjusting that feel good to you.  It can also be a place to navigate new coping skills and tools that can help with issues that may or may not be new to you. 

When I work with couples in the postpartum space, I am often offering them a chance to process through how the new circumstances have impacted their relationship, their personal needs, and how to best support each other, while supporting their new family members.
